MIP Laser Dust Monitors are warranted for a period of 12 months from the date of the initial shipment. The terms and conditions of the warranty are according to the warranty certificate given. This warranty does not extend to damage caused by negligent or improper handling in use, storage, or transportation nor for products from which the original identification markings or labels are removed, defaced or altered. Products replaced under warranty will be warranted only for the balance of the warranty period of the originally supplied instrument. Purchased replacement parts, i.e. laser tubes, power supply modules, etc., are warranted for a six-month (6) period. Failures due to using the instrument against instructions, recommendations or the usual practice of instruments of this kind are not warranted. Products believed by the purchaser to be defective shall be returned to MIP. To begin, review the terms of purchase and the date in the warranty certificate to determine if the item is covered by the warranty. We must be notified within 15 days of noticing the defect and defective products should be sent for determination before the expiration of the warranty period. Out-of-warranty items may be sent to be evaluated and fixed as an additional service. Transportation, insurance, duties, etc. are to be paid by the purchaser. Repaired or replaced products will be returned to the purchaser by MIP (F.O.B. city of destination, domestic as well as foreign territories). MIP will not be responsible for duties, levies, taxes, etc. on returned items. 

Before returning any unit for service or evaluation, please contact us either by clicking to fill the form online, via phone (+358 50 571 2344), or via email (support(at) to obtain authorization and a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) code. Please be prepared to provide the following when requesting an authorization number:

  • Product model number and serial number
  • Date of shipment/purchase
  • Brief description of problem/failure
  • Pictures from site or mounting place and if known defected part of product
  • Name and phone number of contact person at your organization

Before shipping, ask us for instructions on transportation, packaging and shipping the product (freight etc. prepaid), as well as obaining the proper documentation.

We will inform you of the items determination results at the earliest possible time; providing complete information helps to expedite this process.

For products outside of their warranty period, determination will be made as a service once you have approved the cost estimate for repair/replacement. Charges for repair work will be invoiced at the current repair rate (available upon request) plus the cost of any additional required parts. Additionally, all repair work is warranted for 6 months.

For returns in foreign countries where our representation is present, please contact your distributor. For customers in the countries where distributors and/or representation is not available, contact us.


Warranty period can be extended for a reseller’s end customer, at our discretion, from the re-sell date if the end customer information is provided in a specific time. Please note that this information is used only for general marketing use; however, information provided may be published as aggregated data. If you would like the warranty period extended, please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • End user company name
  • City and Country of end user
  • Industry of end user and device application
  • Date of re-sell
